The Purdue
Equestrian Team Horses!
All horses used by the Purdue Equestrian Team have been donated to our program. Right now we have about 8 horses the team actively uses to take lessons on, but would love to hear from you if you believe you have a horse that would fit into our program. All horses to be considered for donation must be Hunt Seat horses who preferably jump and are beginner friendly to accommodate all levels of riding experience on our team. If you would be interested in donating a horse to the Purdue Equestrian Team, please contact our President Kristin Bonacum at kbonacum@purdue.edu.
Retired Horses
The Equestrian Team has been fortunate enough to have many wonderful horses over the years, and as they reach an age when they need to become retired we have found many wonderful homes for those horses. Below is a quick update on where our most recent retirees are residing for those alumni who may be curious about their past favorites!
Griffin: Audrey Fisher-Lehman
Nate: Courtney Rude
Ted: Kendra Lancaster
Sonny: Bill and Sung Scott
Marty: Sung Scott's daughter
Star: Back with her previous owner in Canada
Easy: Jeanne Milus
Elmo: Hailee Stewart
Interested in Retiring a Horse in the Future?
If you are interested in considering retiring one of our horses in the future we would love to hear from you! We like to keep a list of individuals to contact when horses become available for retirement, and we might even have one currently available if we find him his perfect home. Please contact Kristin Bonacum at kbonacum@purdue.edu
