About PIQA

Ever wanted to play a game of Quidditch but thought you were just a simple Muggle? Fortunately, the Intercollegiate Quidditch Association has come up with an adaptation of the game from the J.K. Rowling novels that lets the masses play!

The Purdue Intercollegiate Quidditch Association was founded in December of 2009 after a group of students heard about Quidditch from a friend. We are always growing as an organization and gladly welcome new members at any time. The club is about giving "Muggles", or people lacking magical abilities, an opportunity to play Quidditch. PIQA is an official member of the International Quidditch Assocation, which was founded in 2007. The IQA is comprised of over one hundred colleges and high schools from around the entire World.

Purdue has a very strong team. We have competed in the World Cup for the past three years. We won the D2 championships in 2012. This past year we were one of the teams asked to represent the Midwest in the D1 World Cup tournament.

If you're interested in joining Quidditch or have any questions, send us an e-mail at purduequidditch@gmail.com. We will then send you the necessary forms to fill out and other important information. You will also be added to our e-mail list and will be kept updated on our events.

We strongly encourage that you give it a try! You can find us playing at Gold Field, across from the Purdue Recreational Sports Center. Feel free to jump into a game at any time. If you want, you can even bring your friends! We are very accomodating and will help you learn the game.
