PISA was started in 2005 by Jun Chon as a club for International and American students at Purdue. He wanted to build strong relationships that extended beyond Purdue, while learning about other cultures. We started as a small club, but have grown into a club that with members from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and majors. Our mission is to create an environment that fosters diversity and learning from one another, while having fun and enjoying our time at Purdue. PISA is open to Purdue undergrad students, exchange students graduate students, and faculty. We allow not only international students, but to American students as well. We have had members from a variety of different countries already, and welcome anyone who would like to join our club. |
PISA holds general meetings on Fridays. During these meetings we have games, cultural presentations, guest presentations and other activities. We also hold major events that include cookouts, functions with other Purdue groups, cookouts, movie nights, trips, community service and other group activities. We also have a Membership Training retreat every semester that lasts three days. It offers a chance to get spend time with PISA members, and learn more about the club’s overall goals. We invite you to attend our meetings and our events. We'll be holding a callout early in September. Hope to see you there!!
