Purdue Linguistics Association
Welcome to the homepage for the Purdue Linguistics Association!
PLA is a place for students with an interest in linguistics from across departments (Linguistics (J62); English Language and Linguistics; Foreign Languages and Literatures; Communication; Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, etc.) to come together for learning and fun. Check back often for updates, and be sure to check the Yellow File for updates on campus talks, calls for papers, and conferences.
News
The Purdue Linguistics Association is pleased to present its very first newsletter, available for download in the "Newsletter" link on the left side of the homepage. Big thanks go out to Muriel Gallego, William Nenadal, Angela Ott and Whitney Vandiver for putting together our very first issue!
Please join us for our next PLA Meeting, which is scheduled for 11:00am in BRNG 1206 on Thursday, December 3, 2009.
Our next workshop will be at 1:30pm in BRNG B260, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Prof. David Kemmerer will be leading this session and will be discussing getting published.
Also, the PLA will be hosting an end-of-the-semester pizza party along with a Ling Lunch on December 9, 2009! Be sure to come!
Please check back regularly for updates on the date, time, location, and future events.
Mailing List
Our mailing list is now being maintained by csociety.org. If you would like to subscribe to the mailing list, unsubscribe, or change your options, go to https://lists.csociety.org/listinfo/pla-announce. The list appears to be experiencing security certificate problems, but if you ask it to continue to the website you should still be able to get there.
