Arkady Plotnitsky is a Distinguished Professor of English and Theory and Cultural Studies, Director of the Theory and Cultural Studies Program, and a member of the Philosophy and Literature Program at Purdue University. He earned his Ph.D. in comparative literature and literary theory from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.S. in mathematics from the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) State University in Russia. His primary research interests are in continental philosophy; history and philosophy of mathematics and science; literary criticism and theory; modernity and postmodernity; British and European Romanticism; and the relationships among literature, philosophy, and science. |
