I am Professor of English and Theory and Cultural Studies, Director of the Theory and Cultural Studies Program, and a co-director of the Philosophy and Literature Program at Purdue University. I earned my Ph.D. in comparative literature and literary theory from the University of Pennsylvania and my M.S. in mathematics from the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) State University in Russia. My primary research interests are in continental philosophy; history and philosophy of mathematics and science; literary criticism and theory; modernity and postmodernity; British and European Romanticism; and the relationships among literature, philosophy, and science. |
