The Purdue University Pre-Vet Club
Activities:
Club Meetings Generally there is a guest speaker that is involved in the field of veterinary medicine. There are officer announcements. It is an opportunity to meet new people who are interested in veterinary medicine, and learn about different aspects of the field. Social Events Active members are required to go to one social event per semester, although they may go to as many as they want. Social events include get-togethers at restaurants, ice skating, game nights, cook outs, etc... It is a good opportunity to get to know fellow pre-vet club members. Fundraising Events Active members are also required to do one fundraising event per semester, although doing more is appreciated. Fall semester fundraisers are usually stadium cleanups of Sunday mornings. Symposium Symposium occurs during the spring semester. It is a meeting at a veterinary school in the country that many veterinarians and pre-vet majors go to, for more information on this, go to: http://grove.ufl.edu/~prevet/symposiumschedule.html |
