Boilermaker Row to Rio Olympics
Purdue Crew Alumni Jonathan Kirkegaard is working his way to row in the Rio Olympics with his scull partner Lenny Futterman in the Men's Double Sculls. Kirkegaard, who is currently rowing at the Vesper Boat club in Philadelphia, PA, and his partner placed second in their time trials and won their semi finals setting them up to compete in Olympic time trials this past Sunday (April 24th). During the time trials they placed second showing great speed for a team who has never been to the Olympics before. Great job Kirkegaard and Futterman and boiler up! Be sure to keep up with Jonathan Kirkegaard on his way to Rio.
