大家好！
又到了我们一年中最盛大活动——“普渡之星”中秋卡拉OK大赛的时间了！
日期：10月4日，周日
时间：6：30－10pm
地点：Fowler Hall （Stewart Center一层）
每年，普渡中国学生学者联谊会（PUCSSA）都会举办此次大赛，同时向社区宣传并庆祝中国传统中秋佳节，当然，这也是紧张学业之余娱乐放松的大好机会！每年卡拉OK大赛都会有数以百计的中外观众前来观看。你想在咱们这片玉米地中有脱颖而出的机会吗？你想要展示自己的才艺吗？这就是你成名出彩的机会！我们现正为此次盛事召集才华洋溢的歌手，主持人及表演者。
如对以上三类其中任何一项参与机会感兴趣，请于东部时间9月17日晚0点之前（截至日期！！！）发邮件至 pucssavolunteer@gmail.com，信中请注明以下信息：
1. 如想以歌手身份参加比赛：姓名，性别，手机号码，邮箱，独唱还是组合，3首备选歌曲，所在专业，兴趣与爱好，及其他备注。
2. 如想以主持人身份参与：除无需3首备选歌曲外与＃1一致。
3. 如想以表演者身份参与（需为歌唱以外的节目，如：相声，舞蹈，小品等）：与＃1一致，并说明节目形式。
我们会根据报名人数，决定是否需要在中秋正式比赛前举行一场预赛。如果需要举行预赛，我们将于9月18日下午6点前宣布预赛日期／时间／地点，所有参赛歌手、主持人及表演团体都要参加。
10月4日经过现场投票，我们将选出男生组和女生组的第一名——歌王和歌后。我们还将由网络投票选出“最受欢迎歌手奖”，网络投票会在参赛人选确定后公布在普渡华人社区（http://forum.purdueren.org）。

It's time to starting thinking about one of our biggest events of the year: the annual Mid-autumn Festival Karaoke Contest!

Date 10/4 OCT 4th
Time: 6:30-10pm
Place: Fowler Hall (first floor Stewart Ctr)

Every year, PUCSSA puts on this contest and show for the community to celebrate the Mid-autumn festival and enjoy a good time! In previous years, we have packed Fowler hall with hundreds of guests! Do you want a chance to outshine everyone else in our cornfield? Would you like to display your talents?? Here is YOUR chance to be famous and be known! We are looking for talented singers for the competition, MC's, and performers for the big date!

If you are interested in any of the 3 above, please sent an email to pucssavolunteer@gmail.com with the following info before (DEADLINE!!!!) 9/17/09 11:59PM EST:

1. If you want to compete and sing: name, gender, cell phone #, email, are you a solo or band group, your choice of 3 songs, major, interests/hobbies, and other comments

2. If you want to be an MC: same as #1 except you don't need any songs.

3. If you want to perform (MUST BE SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN SINGING, such as skits, dancing, xiaopin, etc): same as #1, and what kind of show you will be performing.

A preliminary round of competition may or may not take place depending on the number of applicants. If a prelim is necessary, the date/time/place will be announced by 6pm 9/18/09. If necessary, ALL singers, MCs, and performance groups will perform on the prelim date first before the real contest/show.
There will be the final winners (a singing king, and a singing queen) selected by vote on 10/4. There will also a “most popular singer” prize, determined by votes on the forum (http://forum.purdueren.org) once the contestants are determined. Fabulous prizes will be waiting for our fabulous winners!
