PUCSSA has served the Purdue Chinese community for almost 20 years, and we have witnessed our organization grow with the community. To continue to serve you, we need volunteers, generous donations and now, the next class of leaders! We need leaders like you to join our 2009-2010 executive committee and play a leadership role in proposing and organizing various events throughout the year. *How do I do this:*
1. You can nominate yourself or people you know.
2. Each nominee can be nominated to at most 2 positions below and need to specify the preference.
3. Email Zhou Yu (yuz@purdue.edu) with nominee info. Must include: basic information (contact info, program and year in school), a resume if available, and preferred position(s).
4. The candidate for president must be current or previous PUCSSA officer.
5. Nomination deadline is April 15 (11:59 p.m. Eastern time)
6. We also accept on-site nomination on the election day, however we will only provide election guidelines to email nominees.

*Election rules:*

1. The names of qualified candidates will be posted on April 16.
2. The election will be hold on April 18 at 2:30pm in LILY G126
3. Each candidate must prepare and present a 3 min talk and will have 2 min for question and answer.
4. Each member of PUCSSA has the right to vote. We encourage you to come to the election and vote on site. You will be able to hear what each candidate has to say and make your decision. (note: we also accept *email votes* sent from a *Purdue email account* before April 18, 12pm, meaning one vote per email)

*Positions and duties:*

The Executive Committee (EC) = 1 president, 6 VP, 2 president assistants.

--> President: a. Oversee all activities of PUCSSA b. Represent PUCSSA in various occasions c. Chair committee meetings d. appoint 2 president assistants

--> VP of public relations (2):
One is responsible of promoting PUCSSA including but not limited to its programs and events. Major responsibilities include but not limited to: a. Contacting with local media to promote our programs. b. Advertisement of PUCSSA events. c. Collecting and archive news coverage about PUCSSA.
The other leads the media team which takes photos and videos of major programs organized by PUCSSA. The event photos and videos will be posted in various media (such as on website, youtube and in DVD forms) to promote the programs of PUCSSA.

--> VP of Department of General Service a. Recruit and lead volunteer teams to provide various services to major programs, such as new student welcoming, cultural exhibitions, Karaoke contest and the Chinese New Year show.

--> VP of Department of Information Technology Service a. Recruit and lead an IT team that not only maintains but also improves the PUCSSA website and manages the mailing list.

--> VP of Department of Business a. Leading fund raising projects throughout the year. (ex. recruiting sponsorship, ticket sales, etc.)
