Past Events
Purdue DU has held many successful dinner banquets and one Waterfowl Hunters Party. Here is a recap of those events. Be sure to come out this year and support the Boilermakers raise money for Ducks Unlimited.
Spring Banquet 2005
This was the first collegiate Ducks Unlimited event ever held in the state of Indiana. The passionate group of budding DU volunteers and boilermakers had about 40 people in attendance and raised about $5,000 for Ducks Unlimited.
Spring Banquet 2006
Purdue DU's second attempt at raising money for Ducks Unlimited brough about 50 people out to raise around $5,500.
Spring Banquet 2007
Purdue DU decided to switch locations of their annual event and raise the bar for fund raising efforts. By the end of the night, about 100 people had filled the hall and $8,000 was sent off to Ducks Unlimited.
Spring Banquet 2008
Using the knowledge they had gained in the last three events, Purdue Du again rasied the bar and had the biggest and best event to date. 125 people came out to support the cause and after all the expenses Purdue DU sent Ducks Unlimited a check for about $10,000 .
Fall Waterfowl Hunter's Party 2008
In an attempt to help Indiana DU recruit new members and to increase local and state awareness of Purdue DU, the chapter held their first annual fall event. The event was a big success with over 150 people in attendance and a net profit of nearly $5,000 for Ducks Unlimited. Around 20 people signed up to become DU volunteers in their own communities that night as well.
National Ranking
For their efforts in 2008, Purdue DU recieved national attention by ranking 10th in the nation for fund raising efforts among university chapters.
Spring Banquet 2009
Purdue DU's annual banquet was another huge success. Banquet attendance was roughly the same from 2008 with around 125 individuals coming out to support the ducks. However, overall income was increased from 2008 and Purdue DU was able to send a check to national DU for over $12,000.
Spring Banquet 2013
The Purdue DU 9th Annual Spring Banquet was the best one to date! The chapter received over 31 sponsorships of $300+, raised $23,000, and conserved over 92 acres of land! A special thanks goes out to all of our sponsors, donors, community members, and dedicated DU members to make this banquet such a success!
