The bird started life as an egg, a big green egg in a nest full of little pink eggs. Mama Bird had a horrible time getting Papa Bird to believe that the egg wasn't hers. She'd woken up one morning anf there it was! But since it was there, by gummy, she was going to sit on it!
Papa Bird knew when he was licked, of course, being a smartish guy, so he helped Mama Bird to sit on the egg until it hatched and The Bird came flopping out. He was a gangly bird, the legs never did fit into the nest and his nestmates used him for a perch a lot, but he grew up and learend to fly.
To celebrate, Mama and Papa Bird declared the day Christmas.
The party went on for 12 days and 12 nights and became the best season of the year.
Rockin' Robin Say hello to our excellent manager, Rockin' Robin. Rockin' brought a wealth of experience in hosting and catering when he came to Mama & Papa's, with his particular interest being in setting up dates for internet dating sites. His events were eminently successful at pairing up the lovelorn, so Mama & Papa were sure they had a gem in him. He sets the atmosphere well.
Bird is the Word: Master songster Bird is the Word joined the team in January of this year. He has always had an interest in making the perfect "sliding" wormwich, so was very excited to discover Mama & Papa. He has mastered the challenge of romance and easily swallowed wormwiches well.
Thomasina Turkey: Lead waitress Thomasina has been with Mama & Papa since the beginning. She was a counselor at the nesting site, and coordinated their beginnings together. She takes a special delight in helping birds to connect.
