Text Box: I am the newest assistant professor of philosophy at Kenyon College. I have recently completed my dissertation on Descartes’s account of time, and am now focused on my work as an instructor. I am very much enjoying life at Kenyon College, where the many bright students are keeping me on my toes!

Though my primary area of study is Early Modern Metaphysics (particularly the metaphysics of Descartes) I also work in ancient and medieval philosophy.

When not doing history, I also take an active interest in contemporary philosophical issues—particularly topics related to free will and to the philosophy of religion.

Welcome to my website!  Here you will find information on my current research, teaching, and academic activities.
