WPA* Conference Proposal
Some Notes on Expectations for those of you doing a WPA Conference Proposal (one of the projects options)
The Call for Proposals for the 2004 WPA Conference in Delaware is not yet available; however, you might want to look at the Call for the 2003 conference, which is available online at the WPA website: www.WPAcouncil.org.
The guidelines published there can serve as your guidelines for this course project.
You may be especially interested in the 2005 conference scheduled for Alaska. Ask me about the conference theme.
*Many other composition/rhetoric conferences and other conferences organized around issues in higher education also invite presentations on WPA-related issues. If you choose one of them as a forum for your proposed presentation, follow their guidelines. Include a copy of these guidelines with your submission of the proposal to me for credit as a course project.
Be sure to time submission of this project so that you can make use of my response in making revisions before submitting your proposal to the conference organizers. I will need at least one week to review your proposal.
