Baldwin Prismatone Guitar Pickup

Robert C. Scherer (1935-2008) was the Baldwin engineer who invented the Baldwin Prismatone Guitar Pickup in the 1960s. Within the Prismatone, a ceramic sensor is assigned to each guitar string at the bridge. The pickup was used by the late Jerry Reed on the Baldwin guitars he favored. Willie Nelson still uses a Prismatone pickup on his Martin guitar.
