1986-1989 Ph.D. in Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Committee Chairperson: Prof. Z. Wang. Dissertation: KOPIDE - A Computer Model of the Mixed Broadleaved-Korean Pine Forests in the Changbai Mountain. Partial work was accomplished at Environmental Systems Research Institute, Germany. Under the guidance of Dr. Jorg Schaller.
