Numerous individuals and groups, including myself, have been working hard to prepare for the imminent arrival of thousands of students to Purdue's residence halls. Needless to say, I'm incredibly excited to see those efforts pay off over the next several days.
If you're one of the hundreds of incoming residents about to experience college life for the first time, let me be one of the first to welcome you to our hall. I hope that you will soon discover the myriad of opportunities that Shreve Hall (and the wider Purdue community) can offer both academically and socially. With over 800 individuals in the hall, our lobby and lounges are constantly buzzing with activity. Plus, with events and activities from Shreve Club and our Resident Assistant staff, you'll get the opportunity to meet and engage with your fellow residents in many ways throughout the year.
Of course, as president of Shreve Club, I would love for you to get to know our organization and become part of it. We will be hosting events throughout the year for Shreve residents, and we need your help to put them on! If you will be attending BGR, I highly encourage you to visit the Shreve Club table after you check in. You'll be able to talk with returning Shreve residents and learn about the social and leadership development opportunities that our organization can offer. Callouts for those interested in joining us will take place on August 25 and 26 in the Recreation Lounge.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to meeting you soon!
