Announcements

2009 ACM SIGGRAPH Purdue University Student Chapter Spring Show
    2009 Spring Gallery

ACM SIGGRAPH Purdue Student Chapter hosts a Spring Show every year in conjunction with their annual Spring Banquet. This year, we are excited to announce the Digital Spring Gallery 2009 set for Friday, April 3rd in the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU), room 118. The gallery will run from 10-5pm.

    Spring Show

This open exhibit in PMU 118 will allow visitors to come and view the submitted works created digitally by students at Purdue. From CGT to VCD undergraduates, students place their printed art, animation projects, and interactive multimedia works on display for vote by the public. The categories the submissions compete in range across five categories, from Best Interactive Piece to Best Student Collaborative Project. After 5pm, the results will be tallied and presented following the show. In addition, winners will be presented with a certificate and recognized at the annual CGT Awards Banquet on April 30. The best pieces in the show will also appear at the SIGGRAPH 2009 Conference in New Orleans, LA, on display at Purdue’s booth.

ACM SIGGRAPH Purdue Student Chapter works hard to present a professional and social environment that recognizes outstanding student works in the many Computer Graphics fields. In a visual world that demands communication and collaboration in art and science, technology gives us the tools and techniques to make Computer Graphics that integral part of our progressive society. With help from our chapter, interested Purdue students are getting the opportunities to see and interact with everything Computer Graphics-related through events like the Digital Spring Gallery 2009. We look forward to seeing everyone on April 3rd in PMU 118!
