Beta Sigma Chapter, Purdue University

Alumnae

Over 1,100 Purdue University alumnae are proud to call themselves Sigma Kappas. Each fall, the sisters of Sigma Kappa love to welcome home many of the women who have been a part of our family. It is so much fun to flip through old scrapbooks and share house stories of days gone by! If you are a Beta Sigma alumna and would like to get back in touch with your sisters, contact our Vice President of Alumnae Relations, Cassie Vincke.

Homecoming

This year homecoming is Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 (football game against Northwestern). Check back soon for a schedule of activities!

Founder's Day

Sigma Kappa's Founder's Day is November 9th. Alumnae are welcome to join us for formal dinner. Contact Cassie Vincke for more information and to RSVP.

Alumnae Chapters

Sigma Kappas are not only collegiate women! Get involved in your local alumnae chapter. There are many active chapters in the Purdue area, including West Lafayette and Indianapolis. Visit the national website for more information.

Invest in the Future of Beta Sigma

There are many ways to stay involved in Sigma Kappa at Purdue after graduation. Whether you're from the class of '51 or 2001, there's an opportunity for you!

2009-2010 Housing Rennovation

This year, the Beta Sigma Housing Corporation Board is undertaking a once in a generation, multi-million dollar rennovation project! Eagerly awaited by the collegiate members, the completion of this project will provide much needed updates, including air conditioning, new furniture, remodeling, and more. When finished, it will greatly benefit our vision of building up the Sigma Kappa legacy at Purdue. To contribute to this project, financially or otherwise, contact Mary Ellen Vaandrager.

Housing Corporation Board:

This group of women is made up of dedicated Beta Sigma alumnae. Because of them, we've been able to call 427 Russell Street our home for over fifty years! If you're interested in serving as a member, contact Mary Ellen Vaandrager. Board elections are held every fall, at the annual meeting during homecoming weekend. All Beta Sigma alumnae are encouraged to attend and learn about all of the wonderful things the board has been doing in the last year.

Advisory Board:

Stay active in the collegiate world by acting as an advisor to one of our officers! Contact our Collegiate Province Officer, Heather Carson, for more information.
