February 12, 2009Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin were both born 200 years ago on February 12, 1809. It’s also the 150th anniversary of “On The Origins of Species" in November. Look at this letter to the editor and The Purdue Non-Theists web site. They have events planned today and tonight. The National Geographic Channel is having some specials on Evolution tonight. Also look at some Evolution media on nationalgeographic.com. In January 2008, we had an Evolution VS Intelligent Design debate for The Skeptics and Non-Theists. In October 2008, The Purdue Non-Theists had a "Journey Through The Creation Museum" presentation. This museum used Creationism against Evolution. My 2005 letter to the editor against Intelligent Design Darwin Articles or Magazine IssuesIn the latest issue of Scientific American, there is a one-page article by Michael Shermer about Darwin. The latest issue of Discover has some articles about Darwinism. The latest issues of National Geographic and Science News are about Darwin. A rough draft of The Neanderthal genome has been released on Darwin's 200th birthday. Yesterday there was an article that duplications in the genome may separate humans from apes. Do a search on discovermagazine.com for evolution or Darwin. Vatican Gives Darwin a Big Birthday Hug, Leaving Creationists on the Fringes I believe that it’s the November 2004 issue of National Geographic that has “Was Darwin Wrong?" on the cover. Turn to the page of the article and it has a big, “NO." A recent issue of National Geographic has, "The Man Who Wasn't Darwin." It's a man from Darwin's time who was a less famous Evolutionist and Naturalist.
