In The News
- July 10, 2008: Mountain's glaciers grow, defying trend. How can some scientists predict the exact temperature for 92 years from now, when they can't even predict the exact temperature for 92 days from now? "An Inconvenient Truth" left out the part about certain glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica actually growing. Greenhouse gas readings in Antartica are taken downwind from a volcano. Man-made global warming is a pseudo-Science.

- July 25: Joel Osteen: God wants me to be rich. Go see the movie, "Leap of Faith" with Steve Martin and the episode of Nova with James Randi exposing Peter Popoff. Jesus wasn't a millionaire. Preachers don't notice or don't want to mention the passages of ...And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
- July 30: Video: Can Astrology predict an Earthquake? Apparently not. This was the July 29th earthquake in Southern California. If you're a psychic, you should be at least able to predict that you'll be in an earthquake that day.
- July 31-August 1: Cryptozoology: The Montauk Monster. For Heaven's sakes, I know it isn't an alien. Yesterday, I thought it was a hoax. Today, I think it's a tortoise or sea turtle born without a shell. We learned in elementary school that a turtle's shell is attached to its skeleton. If some baby humans are born without an appendix, then I wonder if a turtle can be born without a shell.
- August 2: Olympics-Wear ox pendant to avoid rat clashes, leaders told by Chinese astrologers. That's too silly to take seriously. Unlike the European zodiac which is based on what constellation the Sun would be in, The Babylonian and Chinese zodiacs are based off of what constellation Jupiter would be in. It's a little off because it takes 11.89 years for Jupiter to go through all the way around through all 12 constellations. Birth years of 1976, 1988, and 2000 would be years of the dragon. Birth years of 1980, 1992, and 2004 would be years of the monkey.
- August 3: I don't know why Netscape seems to be the only major news web portal to have entire horoscope articles. Why do people believe in this?
- August 4: Scientists find world's smallest snake & The animal discoveries slideshow. My point is that I like the part about slide 15 where they've discovered a shark that walks on it's fins. It's adaptation just like tiktalik and other walking fish species.
- August 5: Convicted (husband) killer gets custody of kids. I'm tired of the myth that all Christians are peaceful. I've watched this case on Dateline NBC months or a year ago. The husband, Matt Winkler, was a preacher and his nickname was "The Tasmanian Devil" by other people because of his temper. He mentally and sexually abused his wife, Mary. He would choke the baby to try to get it to stop crying. He was doing this again when she mentally snapped and shot him to protect the kids. This is just the portions that I haven't blocked out. I'm tired of preachers, pastors, priests, and ministers getting the benefit of the doubt that they are trustworthy while nobody else gets the benefit of the doubt.
- August 6: Flight Attendant Sues Joel Osteens Wife. Victoria Osteen allegedly assaulted Sharon Brown. This is the wife of the preacher who said, "God wants me to be rich." On the message board for this article, Joel Osteen is called a snake oil salesman by some.
- I don't want to say much about zeitgeistmovie.com's parts 2 and 3, the more paranoid parts. I think that if there were bombs in the World Trade Center in part 2, then Taliban agents put them there. That is, if there were bombs. August 21, 2008: Feds Say They've Solved 9/11 Mystery. This puts an end to paranoid 9/11 conspiracy theories that I don't believe.
- Update: I can't find the web link anymore, but Joel Osteen's wife was found innocent of assaulting a flight attendant.
