Forums Part 2

Purdueonline.com Archives

For the rest of this page, forum posters are not necessarilly Skeptics members. I'm posting Purdueonline forums from before May 1, 2008 so that you know that I'm not taking sides in any new arguments.

  • Dumpster en Fuego: Where Threads go to Die: A juvenile kid or hysterical student asks, "Is Dalai Lama a Satan?" I've already heard that the word "Satan" also means deceiver, so apparently he means, "Is Dalai Lama a deceiver?"

The rest of these from before March 2008 are in order from oldest to most recent:

  1. Are you Agnostic, Atheist, Christian or another religion?
  2. Bigfoot in Malaysia?
  3. I get some questions about Masons. Here's the only Free-Mason forum: Free-Masonry.
  4. Weird: Controversial seance of John Lennon.
  5. You Realize We Have Never Been to the Moon Right? Oh, good grief.
  6. Pat Robertson: God told me about storms, tsunami.
  7. A philosophical debate: WTDWJ?: What to do with Jesus?
  8. Skeptical of the pseudo-science of man-made global warming? Here's the forum about "An Inconvenient Truth."
  9. Christians say if you're not saved, you're going to Hell. How about other religions?
  10. Oh, my God...: The Unfunny Truth about Scientology. L. Ron Hubbard's first name is Lafayette.
  11. Atheists. This was before there were The Purdue Non-Theists.
  12. Mel Gibson goes berserk about Jews and I won't believe what he's saying
  13. I don't know if somebody in Iraq actually believed they saw a ghost or if it was made up as a joke that wasn't funny: Saddam's ghost reportedly seen around Baghdad.
  14. Air Force colonel reports lights 'not of this world'
  15. Klingons in The White House!
  16. Ancient Greek gods' new believers.
  17. Christianists on the March.
  18. Another UFO sighting.
  19. Russian fishermen catch squeaking alien and eat it.
  20. Art Bell gets a frantic call from an ex-worker of area 51 and I know it's a hoax.
  21. Evolution: They must be adapting/evolving because Chimpanzees hunt using spears.
  22. I would say that this Iranian man has paranoia and doesn't represent Iran. I think it's kind of like Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson having paranoia and they don't represent the United States.
  23. About James Cameron's 2007 documentary: Gentilemans we may have a body.
  24. UFO Science key to halting climate change.
  25. Comedy/Cryptozoology/Paranormal: Monster Names... mwahaha. Type in your login or name.
  26. Crazy **** of the Week #1: France opens secret UFO files covering 50 years
  27. Tyrannosaurus rex was a strict vegetarian, and lived with Adam and Eve in the Garden. This almost word-for-word reminds me of the Youtube video of a Christian explaining why he thinks that Tyrannosaurus Rex was a vegatarian, death didn't exist, and that Noah's ark existed.
  28. Type 1 diabetes cured through stem cell treatment. I'm getting tired of hearing that stem cell treatments are immoral or don't work.
  29. Galactic visitor, or greenhouse reflection?: They're doing it again.
  30. Al Sharpton's poorly phrased comment about Mormons not believing in God: HaHa, Let's Fire Sharpton Now...
  31. Religious Extremists in the US: (The Fred Phelps family). For a minute, pretend that you’re God. You’re not going to want to send gays to Hell. You’re going to send terrorists, murders, and pedophiles to Hell. I’ve heard that in the German-language Bible is a word that means “pedophiles” instead of “sodomites” and that the English Bible is the only Bible with the word sodomy. At the door of Abram’s/Abraham’s house in probably Genesis 19:8, Abraham says (and this isn’t word-for-word) to the wicked men, "If you don’t kill me, then I’ll let you marry one of my virgin daughters." They were straight pedophiles. This was when Sodom, Gomorrah, a third city that I’m calling Bela-Zoar, and two other cities were destroyed. There’s straight incest in Genesis 19:30-38. It’s still very sick and wrong. Straight or gay, all incest and pedophilia is wrong. Mind your own business if somebody is a monogamous gay over age 21 with an unrelated partner over 21. Fred Phelps and the rest of the Westboro Baptist Church are neurotic or sociopaths.
  32. Lady, face it. Your husband is nuts! It sounds like they both have mental problems. The devil doesn't exist; he's a scapegoat. People blame the devil because they have mental problems, they don't know better, or they want to blame a third party instead of taking responsibility for their own actions. There's a 2008 article that's now a dead link where the father was sentenced to 25 years in jail. I'm worried that the child may never recover. It's not fair that the father was sentenced to only 25 years in jail while the child has a life sentence of injuries and rehabilitation from being in the microwave.
  33. A Christian sort-of Hypocrite: Note to anyone being interviewed by The Exponent.
  34. Doctors' beliefs can hinder patient care.
  35. The weirdest news story of 2007: Kitty is Grim Reaper.
  36. It's a scam or they're made so badly that they won't work: Flying saucers...only $125k.
  37. Skeptical of global warming: New peer-reviewed scientific studies chill global warming fears
  38. State Senator sues God to make a point about frivolous lawsuits.
  39. Exponent letter about The United Way. I see nothing wrong with the editorial. Mind your own business if somebody is Atheist or a monogamous gay. Tod Zudenrich just got on my nerves in this forum. Whatever happened to saying that murders and pedophiles are the ones going to Hell instead of gays, Atheists, and Muslims? Somebody that gets on my nerves for other reasons is kamikaze21.
  40. The Skeptics Society got together for the Mythbusters convocation.
  41. Darwin fish sale.
  42. This forum has some info about Alex Jones and Ron Paul that I guess would fall into the conspiracy theory category: What is so damn great about Ron Paul?
