Bio
I am a graduate of Fairfield Jr. Sr. High School and am currently attending Purdue University, where I am majoring in Professional Writing (the publishing section of the major) with two minors: German and history.
I hope to be able to get in as an editor for a publishing company somewhere on the East Coast, or at the very least, a job where I can design documents.
As the site might show, I am an aspiring author, and I have been writing for quite some time now with hopes that I will be published. My novels consist of fantasy and historical fiction genres. My main series at the moment takes place in the world of Kaladè, which has sparked several series that I hope will all be published someday. Beyond my own writing, I have taken several college-level creative writing classes, which have improved my own writings and increased my knowledge on what makes good literature.
I started writing in elementary school after reading Gilbert Morris's "Bonnets and Bugles" series, and since I was young, those stories turned out to be carbon-copies of Morris's work. In junior high, I was introduced to Tolkien, and from there, I knew fantasy was my genre, since it lacked all the problems I had come across in historical fiction: namely the fact, that I am a stickler for details. With fantasy, I am allowed to create my own histories (something that is extremely to my liking), especially since I was very picky about whether or not what I am writing actually happened just as I wrote it (to the second). I completed another novel after reading Tolkien, but once again, it contained fundamental problems, largely thanks to my age. I have placed little homages to that book throughout my Kaladè series. I must say, that through my reading of other authors and my college courses, my writing level has grown in leaps and bounds from those first novels!
Above is my kitty, who is trying to eat my betta fish. Luckily, she never discovered the holes on top.
