NEW POST 9/27/07

 ***OCTOBER BREAK***
The next game after this one is on October break weekend. As you can imagine finding people to work this game can be difficult since every one wants to go home.  If you do not want to work the game and you have not already said so, PLEASE let Matt know now.  It is ok if you do not want to work, but it is a problem if you tell Matt the Friday before the game that you decided to go home.

Hey everyone ~
I just wanted to let you all know about the upcoming American Diabetes
Association Walk for Diabetes on Saturday, October 13th.  It is the weekend
after October break and there is no home football game.  The Walk is held
out at the Subaru plant's recreational facilities on SR 38 near I-65.  There
will be a balloon release (in honor of and in memory of those with
diabetes), live band, free food, and of course, walking!  I urge those of
you looking for something to do that Saturday to come out and join us to
help raise awareness for Diabetes!  It would only take about 2 hours of your
time.  This is a cause near and dear to my heart becuase I am a diabetic
myself and I can guarantee all of you know at least TWO diabetics (myself
included, haha) who can benefit from the money and awareness raised at this
event.

I will be bringing a collection container to the game on Saturday for those
of you who work if you would like to donate some spare pocket change.  If
you would like more information on registering come see me at the game or
send an email to reckert@purdue.edu.

Boiler Up!
Rachel

PS - This event is *not* affliated with Rescue Squad.  Just friends and fun!
