About the Banquet:

  • This is the first annual Purdue Timmy Foundation Club banquet to benefit the construction of the hospital of our partner organization, Tierra Nueva. This hospital is the first of its kind in South Quito (Ecuador), and although it is operating, there is still much construction to be done before its completion.
  • It will take place in the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom on February 22, 2008 from 5PM-midnight. The evening will include a Union-catered dinner, musical entertainment, a few words from Dr. Chuck Dietzen, the founder of the Timmy Foundation, and a silent auction.
  • Monetary donations and revenue earned from the banquet will be donated to Tierra Nueva to help pay for the cost of construction. A 2-bed room only costs approximately $4,500!

Upcoming Events:

  • We are currently working on acquiring silent auction donations. Members are highly encouraged to solicit to businesses/companies/persons whom they believe would be interested in benefitting our cause. Silent auction donations include, but are not limited to, services, gift packages/baskets, gift certificates, and higher-end items.
  • One great way for a company or business to show their support for the Timmy Foundation and providing healthcare for those who desperately need it is to sponsor a table at the banquet. The name/logo of the company or business would be put on our programs and table signs to show that they are proponents of the Timmy mission and vision.
  • If you would like to learn more about the banquet, our goals, and/or how to get involved, please contact Misha Ownbey.
