In 2006, Purdue's Timmy Foundation Club returned to Quito, Ecuador. This location was the original setting of the medical service trips, and it is the landscape and people of Quito that served as the inspiration for the creation of Purdue's Timmy Foundation Club. The 2006 trip again featured a group of eager Purdue students, a team of professionals, as well as a group of dedicated men and women from Quito to accomplish our goal. Just as in past trips, the volunteers formed teams and set out into the southern outskirts of Quito to set up clinics for the day. These clinics provided professional attention, medication, hygiene supplies, as well as paid hospital referrals to people who, chances are, would not have received the care they deserved. In addition to the daily clinics, the Ecuador trips also offer cultural events in the evening, provided by Quito Eterno.
