I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Purdue University since Fall 2007. I received my Bachelor degree in Computer Science & Engineering (BSc in CSE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in November 2006. At Purdue, I am working with Saurabh Bagchi on the reliability of Grid System.
In case you want to know, my research interests are in the following areas:
- Grid Computing & Cycle Sharing Systems
- High Performance / Throughput Computing
- Reliability
05/15/2011 - 08/20/2011 - I will be a research intern at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for this period of time. It will be my 2nd time as a summer intern at the lab. Looking forward to a productive summer!
09/30/2010: My poster titled "Harnessing Multiple Cores for Efficient Checkpointing in Grid Systems", has won the 2nd place in ACM Student Research Competition (SRC) at Grace Hopper Conference, 2010. Check out the departmental website for more details.
08/16/2010: Poster based on my work at LLNL got accepted in SC'10.
05/11/2010 - 08/23/2010: I finished my summer research internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) with Bronis de Supinski on fault-tolerance of large-scale multi-physics applications.
11/14/2009 - 11/20/2009: My paper, titled "Falcon: A System for Reliable Checkpoint Recovery in Shared Grid Environments" with Saurabh Bagchi and Rudolf Eigenmann, has been accepted in the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC) 2009, Portland, OR. It is also one of the four finalists for the "Best Student Paper" award. This link lists the other nominees.
