TJK Homepage 2.0

The Site

The Tyler J. Kupferer Homepage started out as a lone html page that was quickly typed up one boring Saturday morning, after I had decided I needed something on my Purdue webserver. As it sat dormant for many months, it was surpassed by the Base14 site and the Risk Entertainment site, which were both main projects for my html class. Eventually I decided it was time the homepage get a complete overhaul, and I began looking into more advanced methods for coding and developing websites.

I had first dreamed of a Tyler Kupferer homepage in the Spring of 2004. The first design, while not extremely functional, still established some fundamental traits, such as the blue color the site uses. Once I was enrolled in an html class at Purdue, I could take the old design I had done and evolve it into a new and functional version. Eventually, it arrived at what you see today.

See a lineage of site design.

As you can guess, this site has been a long time in the making. The large bulk of the work, however, was done using the three weeks I had off before Fall Semester began. The total amount of time I have spent working on it is uncertain, but I would estimate over 100 hours. In my opinion it has been well worth the work.
