Our lab is involved in several research projects focused on understanding the role of working memory and cognitive control as predictors of behavior. In addition, we use working memory and cognitive control measures as indices of cognitive functioning in different applied contexts. Below are a few current research topics:

  • Studies on multitasking (How to predict multitasking, Individual differences in multitasking, Different types of multitasking)

  • Studies on improving cognition through brief cognitive training (Evaluating the claims of commercialized tests and websites, Whether or not the training "works", Examining what cognitive processes improve via training)

  • Studies on cognitive performance after concussions (Use of tests to make decisions on when athletes and military personnel are safe to return to the field, Aspects of cognition that are affected by concussion)
