Purdue Triathletes competed in the annual Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis. Many first time half marathon and marathoners tested themselves on a beautiful November morning. Even a few alumni raced! Overall it was a great experience for the team and an even better way to check on everyone's progress at the beginning of the season. Boiler Up!

Last weekend, a handful of Purdue Triathletes braved 30 degree temperatures to participate in the Spartan Sprint!  With below freezing temperatures upon arrival, the team was undaunted.  All in all the Purdue Triathletes put on a top notch performance in the face of the elements as well as the competition.  Both men's and women's teams featured top 15 finshers, and the men's team collectively pulled together for a 2nd place overall finish.

On Friday afternoon, 13 of us drove out to Mattoon for the Great Illini Triathlon. 9 of us ran the Olympic Distance, Sara finished the Half Iron with flying colors, and 3 of us cheered and supported the team. Lots of trophies, lots of photos, check the photo page!

Congratulations to the women who raced at Evergreen Triathlon, home of the MWCTC Collegiate Regional Championships. The Purdue Women's team took home 1st place for 2009! Great job women.
