UCA Election
6th, april 2012
Dear All,
At this time, on April 6, 2012 at 6pm in Rawls 1071, the Undergraduate Chinese Association is having it's year end election for new officers for the upcoming year of 2012-2013. All of the positions are full year positions (with the exception of a few senior officers who will be graduating) and you can choose up to 3 positions to run for! All candidates have to submit a copy of the MOST recent Resume to shen40@purdue.edu by NO LATER THAN Sunday, April 1, 2012.
On the day of the election, all candidates are to be in BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL and must print 10 copies of resume for reference. Each candidate are expected to have a 3-5 minute presentation in ENGLISH on the positions that you will be running for. (Powerpoint is optional) After each presentation, there will be a Q&A session in CHINESE. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!
The basic requirements to run for a UCA officer are:
1) to know how to speak and read basic Chinese
2) to have a passion and motivation to lead
3) hardworking

Dear UCA family,
We have some VERY exciting news! We will be hosting our FIRST EVER Paintballing event! Come out and join our fun! Sign up early because spaces are limited. Transportation WILL BE PROVIDED!
The details are below:
Event Location: Paintball Barn- 5800 North 820 East Attica, IN 47918 (Est 38 minutes drive)
Event Time: 2-5pm Should arrive at least 15 minutes before to sign in
Pick up Time and Location: 1pm at CL50 and 5pm at the Paintball Barn
**EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER FORM**
Bring your friends and you can form teams there or you can be randomly paired with other UCA members!
The prices are: $38 for UCA members （$35 If you drive there yourselves)
$40 for Non-UCA members ($37 if you drive there yourselves)
These prices include Chest protectors and gear and transportation!

Mon @ STEW from 10:30am - 12pm
Tues @ STEW from 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Wed @ STEW from 10am - 12pm
Thurs @ PMU next to Starbucks from 10am- 12pm
Fri @ PMU next to Starbucks from 12:30pm - 3pm

Help the puppys!(volunteer at local animal shelter)

UCA is teaming up with Lafayette Animal shelter to provide community service to their shelters. The Lafayette Animal Shelter is having a Waffle sale on March, 3rd, 2012 and need 7 people to go and help them. Any of the members, volunteers, and officers are welcome to the event!!

UCA Thanksgiving Shopping Trip

Dear students,
Are you ready for some serious shopping? UCA proudly presents you Thanksgiving Shopping Trip of the Black Friday Discounts to Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets in Michigan City, which contains more than 120 outlet stores!
Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States, where it is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. Many retailers open very early (early in the morning) and offer door buster deals and loss leaders to draw
people to their stores.
Everything is going to be VERY cheap!

UCA Fall Break TRIPS

Nothing to do on the gorgerous FALL BREAK?
We have this problem solved! UCA is having it annual Fall Break Trip to Chicago/Six Flags.
Chicago, The Windy Wity, A city full of history. Micheal Jordan had his rings play with Chicago Bulls. Transformer 3 was shoot in Chicago, Great museums and plenty of shopping options! Chicago is the city that YOU CANNOT miss!

Or maybe shopping is not your thing, want something more exciting? Six Flags is the place to go! Rollercoasters! Lots of Rollercoasters! 13 of them in one theme park! That is just insane!

Or you just cannot dicide which route to go? You can actually have them both covered! First to go Six Flags, and send you to Chicago Downtown in the afternoon. But you have to find the way home.
