I am Venkattraman, currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Purdue University. I got my PhD from the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Purdue University in August 2012. I completed my Undergraduate Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and graduated in July 2007 after which I got my Master's from the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Purdue University in May 2009. My research interests include theory & computation of non-equilibrium flows & plasma physics, direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC), particle-in-cell/Monte Carlo collisions (PIC/MCC) and related particle techniques, micro/nano fluidics, numerical methods for solution of Boltzmann equation, hypersonic flows.
My advisor at Purdue was Alina Alexeenko.
