Siddharth Saksena Wins First Prize at ASCE EWRI Conference (05/17/2015)
Congratulations to Siddharth for winning the Student Technical Paper Contest at the World Environmental and Water Resources Congress 2015. The paper titled "Investigating the Role of DEM Resolution and Accuracy on Flood Inundation Mapping," is based on Siddharth's MS thesis that addresses a very practical issue of data accuracy, and proposes an approach to get better flood inundation maps from coarser and less accurate topographic datasets. Siddharth is continuing his research at Purdue as a PhD student.
