  • UVSA Midwest (Union of Vietnamese Student Associations of the Midwest) is having its 5th Annual Leadership Retreat on October 15, 2011. This year, the Leadership Retreat will be on our campus. Purdue VSA is honored to have them at our university. Leadership Retreat is a great opportunity for leaders to come together and discuss issues, problems, ideas, etc concerning your organization. With this retreat, we hope to help you grow as a leader and help to better your own organization. As with other UVSA Midwest events, this is a great networking opportunity, especially since this is more on an intimate and formal level. Meet other leaders of VSAs from different schools, share your thoughts and ideas, and build both professional and personal relationships. Register here. For more info about what UVSA is, please visit their website or contact our Internal Vice-President/UVSA Midwest Indiana State Representative, Hung Ly, at lyh@purdue.edu if you have any questions.

Mid Autumn Festival / Tết Trung Thu Celebration

Tet Trung Thu

Come join us to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival also known as Tết Trung Thu!

The Mid Autumn Festival is one of the most important celebrations in the Vietnamese Culture that marks the end of the Fall harvest season. Traditionally, we spend this day eating mooncakes and hanging brightly lit lanterns. Dances are also common during this year – specifically the dragon dance and the flower dance.

Come join Purdue VSA as we come together to celebrate this important day! We will be painting lanterns to display in our Stewart Center display case and eventually to take home to enjoy.
