With position shadowing in full effect, we will be taking nominations up until this event in which we will interview the nominees. You may nominate yourself or any other member .

The positions are as follows:

President:
- Maintain general active management of the business of the organization.
- Ensure the effective action of the board in governing and supporting the
organization, and oversee board affairs.
- Act as the representative of the board as a whole.
- Ensure that board matters are handled properly,
including preparation of meeting materials,
functionality of committees, and recruitment and
orientation of new Board of Advisory members.

Vice President:
- Act as the as the President in the absence or inactivity of the President.
- Replace the President when the President fails to fulfill his or her duties.
- Shall always assist the President on the above or other specified duties.
- Oversee community service projects.
- Be in charge of all public relation issues.

Treasurer:
- Manage the board’s review of and actions relating to its financial responsibilities.
- Manage all funds going in and out of the organization’s bank account
- Maintain records of financial transactions and standing.
- Sign checks and reimbursements.

Secretary:
- Keep minutes of all official board meetings, and provide it when necessary.
- File any certificate required by any statute, federal or state
- Give and serve all notices to members of the organization.

Welcome back, everyone!

We hope that you had a great break. We are proud to present to your our biggest annual event: the Winter Formal. Unlike the previous, we are collaborating with our two close organizations; Asian American Association and Purdue Filipino Association. Tickets can be picked up at the Purdue Memorial Union Table next to Starbucks from 2 PM to 5pm . Remember, pre-sale ends this Friday at 5PM.

This is when we come together to build/strengthen bridges between one another, share ideas, make lifelong memories and friendships while having fun!

The Purdue Vietnamese Student Association will be having the 1st General Meeting on Thursday, 20th in Beering 1245 at 7 . We will be giving out our membership cards with a purchase (10$ for one semester/17$ for the whole year) . With our membership card you will also be given discounts, ranging from 7% to 15% off, from our local sponsors (Green Leaf, Kibu, Noodles & Co., Blue Nile, Green Sprout, Happy China, Echo and Oishi).
We will also be selling our merchandise (hoodies – 20$ for members/23$ for non-members; tees – 17$ for non-members/15$ for members)
