Purdue VSA 2014-2015 Executive Board

Nathan Giang

Mechanical Engineering Technology

President

Hi guys! My name is Nathan Giang and I was born and raised in the great state of Indiana in the little town of Fort Wayne. I am a member of Phi Kappa Psi, a Greek affiliated fraternity, and am part of the Class of 2017, where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

I come from a family of mostly girls, with my immediate family consisting of three little sisters. I consider myself to be of full Vietnamese decent, however if you want to get technical, I have some Chinese decent in me as well! My favorite Vietnamese dish is Pho (of course). I love to work out and get to know and meet new people, while also embracing my own culture and have a willingness to learn about other cultures as well!

Louis Thibault

Mechanical Engineering

Vice-President

Hello everyone! My name is Louis Thibault and I was born in France and immigrated to the United States with my parents when I was two years old. I am a part of the Class of 2017, where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Growing up, I always affiliated more with my French heritage due to the place of my birth and my native language that I spoke at home. I visited Vietnam for the first time in 2005 and fell in love with the other half of my culture. From then on, I have always tried to seek opportunities to learn more about the Vietnamese culture, which was why I joined Purdue VSA. I envision Purdue VSA to be a place where its members can embrace the beautiful Vietnamese culture and continue to build healthy relationships within a supportive community. I look forward to the achievements and progress for Purdue VSA!

Hey guys! My name is Alyssa Vogelgesang and I am from Fishers, Indiana. I am a part of the Class of 2017, where I am majoring in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences.

As far as hobbies go, I love to eat, play video games and chill outside. VSA has become a second family to me and I invite you to share that experience with me! I am a (pretty) nice and caring person, so if you ever need help with anything, feel free to come and talk with me!

P.S. If you ever need to get on my good side for whatever reason, just remember, the basis of a good friendship begins with food.
