Aside from classroom time in Strasbourg, the course will feature several short trips:
* A Rhineland tour, including stops in Bonn, Cologne, and Koblenz and a Rhine river cruise
* A Saarland tour, including a visit to the Voelklingen Steel Works and the French fortress of Metz
* A visit to the battlefield of Verdun

The cost of these trips, including stays at German youth hostels, will be built into the program fee.

Students interested in visiting other cities, such as Paris, in their free time or after the course is finished will be offered orientation and advice.
