"Lifting as We Climb"
The Women of Vision Young Adult Club was founded and officially recognized by Purdue University on
March 5, 1997. Women of Vision was established as an young adult extension of the National
Association of Colored Women's Clubs with the purposes of:.
1. Promoting the quality of life by inspiring the respect of others;
2. Enhancing the growth and development of our youth;
3. Encouraging education and responsibility; and
4. Establishing friendships among the human race.
The club sisters of Women of Vision Young Adult Club are primarily involved in Community Service in the city of Lafayette, IN. An example of such projects include the Jewels Program, a tutor/mentor program that Women of Vision established with the Hannah Community Center. Other projects include workshops such as "Anger Management" and "Mind, Body, and Soul", a series encouraging better eating and hygiene practices. Women of Vision has also done volunteer work with the YWCA
