(1st Black belt form)


Beginning move:

Koryo Choonbi Position - "Tong Milki Choonbi Seogi"

From Choonbi position, slowly bring both hands up from waist to eye level, (both hands are knife-hands with palms up, fingers are pointing toward eachother while inhaling). Slowly turn knife-hands palms down and push out toward opponent while exhaling, (push knife-hands out slow at first and then fast).


Step 1:

Look left - turn left(90') - move right foot back into a back-stance - double knife hand block (left hand should be out front)


Step 2:

Bring the right foot around for a low side kick to the knee and then a side kick quickly to the upper body. Step right foot down into a low stance with a single right hand knife strike to the upper body.


Step 3:

From the same position left arm middle punch.


Step 4:

Move right foot back into a back-stance (right foot forward) executing a right arm forearm block (out to in)


Step 5:

Look left - turn left (180') into a back-stance (right foot forward) double knife-hand (right hand forward)

Step 6:

Bring the left foot around for a low side kick to the knee and then a side kick quickly to the upper body. Step left foot down into a low stance with a single left hand knife strike to the upper body.


Step 7:

From the same position right arm middle punch


Step 8:

Move left foot back into a back-stance (left foot forward) executing a left arm forearm block (out to in)


Step 9:

Look left - turn left(90') into a low stance (left foot forward) - left arm low knife-hand block (palm down) - right arm throat attack (hand shaped as if grabbing opponents throat)


Step 10:

Right front(snap) kick - stepping down with right foot into a low stance - right arm low knife-hand block - left arm throat attack (hand shaped as if grabbing opponents throat)


Step 11:

Left front(snap) kick - stepping down with the left foot into a low stance - left arm low knife-hand block - right arm throat attack -


Step 12:

Right front(snap) kick - stepping down with right foot into a low stance - left arm low strike (breaks the opponents knee) KIYAP!!- step left foot forward turning right (180'), (right foot should be forward)


Step 13:

Step left foot forward turning right (180'), (right foot should be forward) - step left foot down and back into a low stance - double middle block (in to out)


Step 14:

Left front(snap) kick - stepping down with left foot into a low stance - right arm low strike (breaks the opponents knee)


Step 15:

Step left foot into a walking stance - double middle block (in to out)

Step 16:

Turn right (180') moving right foot into a back stance - left arm knife-hand side block


Step 17:

From the same position, right hand cross-body side punch to the upper body using left hand as a target


Step 18:

Sidestep the right foot in front of the left foot while bringing the right fist (palm up) back to right hip, move left fist in front of body toward right hip (palm down) - left foot side kick - step down with left foot turning the body to the right into a low stance, left arm spear-hand (palm up) attack to the groin while pulling the opponent's arm to your shoulder with the right hand.


Step 19:

Right foot back into a walking stance - right arm low block


Step 20:

Left foot forward into a walking stance - left hand low palm-fist block (palm down), Step right foot forward and turn hips forward into a horse stance, right arm side elbow strike supporting the right fist with left hands palm


Step 21:

Change into back stance right arm knife-hand side block (palm down)


Step 22:

From the same position (horse stance) left hand cross-body side punch to upper body using right hand as target


Step 23:

Sidestep the left foot in front of the right foot while bringing the left fist (palm up) back to left hip, move right fist in front of body toward left hip (palm down) - right foot side kick - step down with right foot turning the body to the left into a low stance, right arm spear-hand (palm up) attack to the groin while pulling the opponent's arm to your shoulder with the left hand.


Step 24:

Left foot back into a walking stance - left arm low block


Step 25:

Step right foot forward into a walking stance - right hand low palm-fist block (palm down) - step left foot forward into a horse stance - left arm side elbow strike supporting left fist with right knife hand


Step 26:

Concentration move

Slowly move right foot inward to the left foot standing straight up, bringing both outstretched arms above the head (left hand in hammer fist, right hand in knife fist) - slowly move hands outward in a large circle to waist - attack waist level with left hammer-fist using right knife-hand palm as target. (arms should end up straight down at the sides, both hands and feet should come together at the same time)


Step 27:

Look left - turn left (180') moving left foot into a low stance - left hand knife-hand strike (in to out) to the neck of opponent (palm up) - From the same position - left arm knife-hand low block (palm down)


Step 28:

Right foot forward into a low stance executing a right knife-hand (out to in) attack to the opponents neck (palms up)


Step 29:

Step left foot forward into a low stance executing a left knife-hand (out to in) attack to the opponents neck (palm up) - left arm knife-hand low block (palm down)


Step 30:

Right foot forward into a low stance right hand attack to the neck (hand as if grabbing the opponents neck) !!KIAP!!
Return to Koryo Choonbi Position as in the beginning
