I am an assistant professor in School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University.  I am also affiliated with Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE) as well.  My research interests are in applying various human-computer interaction (HCI) techniques (e.g., information visualization, mobile computing, and assistive technologies) in solving critical problems, especially ones in the field of healthcare.

I received my Ph.D. degree in School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in August 2008, and I received my Bachelor degree in the department of industrial engineering at Seoul National University in February 1998.

If you are curious about me, simply google me using “Ji Soo Yi.”

Currently, I am establishing a research lab, called “HIVE Lab,” so I would like to recruit creative, passionate, social undergraduate and graduate students as HIVE Lab members.  If you are interested, please contact meIf you are an undergraduate student, please refer to the project description on the SURF program. (The selection of SURF and DURI students for Spring 2009 was finished. Please visit my site again for Summer 2009.)
