My research is using predictive analytics and structural modeling techniques to learn and nudge consumers' online behaviors. My research interests are in recommender systesms, machine learning, structural modeling etc. I have worked in AT&T Labs research and Amazon on big data analytics projects.
I am interested in teaching various MIS courses. I have taught Introduction to MIS as one of undergraduate core courses at Krannert with an outstanding evaluation from students. I have also been TA for other MIS courses, such as database, MIS, IT for Managers etc.
Here is a quote from students' evaluations:
You are a better teacher than the ones that teach this course throughout the regular school year. Everything you put in the course made sense and was relevant to what we could expect at a job. Thank you for making this course interesting and making sure that we knew what exactly we were to be tested on. I have heard from several students that this class with other teachers, the exams were just straight memorization of the materials, but you actually made it so we learned something. Also from what I have heard, your teaching style is extremely better than the other teachers. Other teachers would just lecture the entire class period without any type of visual aid to follow along and I am glad you did not follow the same route. You are an awesome teacher and I hope that you have an awesome summer.
