Currently, I am working on two major research projects.

Financial Security is a secondary data analysis of class, race and gender inequality in employment and retirement earnings.

Politics is two different projects. First, it includes papers left over from my recently published book on land-use politics in San Diego,  which may produce some additional papers if not a follow-up study of Portland or Santa Cruz or Davis or some other more “progressive” city.  Second, it includes an analysis of Darien, Georgia, the heart of the black Radical Republican Party in 1870, which is the focus of my attention right now.
