Prior to joining Purdue University, Dr. Jahanshahi was a research technologist in the Mobility and Robotic Systems Section at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) at the California Institute of Technology (2013-2014), a Caltech Postdoctoral Scholar at JPL (2012-2013), and a postdoctoral research associate in the Sonny Astani Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at USC (2011-2012). His research interests include autonomous sensing, data interpretation and intelligent condition assessment of structures. He has been working in the field of computer vision and machine learning to develop robust systems for health monitoring of civil infrastructures.

Rih-Teng WuRih-Teng Wu
Ph.D. Student, Lyles School of Civil Engineering


Rih-Teng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Before joining Purdue, he worked as a research assistant at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering in Taiwan (2014-2015). His research interests are structural health monitoring, data fusion, artificial intelligence, and metamateria design.



Tarutal Ghosh MondalTarutal Ghosh Mondal
Ph.D. Student, Lyles School of Civil Engineering


Tarutal earned B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology Silchar in India in 2013 and M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad in 2016. His areas of interest include vision-based reconnaissance, damage chronology assessment in addition to linear and nonlinear mechanics.



Yu-Ting HuangYu-Ting Huang
Ph.D. Student, Lyles School of Civil Engineering


Yu-Ting received her B.S. degree in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Chiao Tung University in 2012, and M.S. degree in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University in 2014. Her research interests are computer vision, artificial intelligence-based metasurface design, and system identification.



Wen TangWen Tang
Ph.D. Student, Lyles School of Civil Engineering


Wen received his B.S. in the School of Civil Engineering at the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017, and M.S. degree in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. His research interests are computer vision, machine Learning, adaptive perception, and robotic-based information gathering.



Zixin WangZixin Wang
Ph.D. Student, Lyles School of Civil Engineering


Zixin received his B.S. degree in the School of Civil and Water Conservancy Engineering at Shandong University in 2016, and M.S. degree in the College of Civil Engineering at Tongji University in 2019. His research interests are structural vibration control, sensor modeling and fusion, machine learning, and smart extraterrestrial habitats.



Rahul JainRahul Jain

Rahul received his Bachelor in Technology degree from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna in 2019. His research interests are computer vision, image processing and machine learning.

Zhi-Yi received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in the School of Civil Engineering at the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. His master research topic was blind source separation of long-span bridge vibration. His research interests are machine learning-aided structural health monitoring, anomaly detection, and compressive sensing.
