About ICMAP

The Indian Classical Music Association of Purdue (ICMAP) was formed in 1989 to promote Indian music at and around Purdue by organizing concerts of eminent classical musicians. ICMAP is a non-profit organization run primarily by a group of students. Our goal is to bring Indian music to diverse listeners of the Greater Lafayette area. We enjoy widespread popularity among the student community as well as the faculty and staff at Purdue. Our organization and its activities have been generously supported by organizations such as the Student Organization Grant Allocation Board (SOGA) and the Purdue Student Union Board (PSUB).

At ICMAP, we also offer advertising opportunities for local businesses (several local businesses have advertised profitably through our concerts). We have the support of various channels of publicity including local radio/TV stations and newspapers. Our events are also often publicized throughout the Greater Lafayette area through the Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF), the Long Center for Performing Arts, and other commercial establishments in the community.

Please email us at icmap.purdue@gmail.com for participating in our activities, getting more information about our events, or to discuss organizing concerts by artistes that you promote. You can find our Facebook page here. If you would like to join our mailing list, click here.
