The integrity of our water resources is impacted by and depends on a multitude of factors. The development of solutions that will preserve the integrity of our water resources while maintaining or enhancing the economic viability of our production systems, requires an interdisciplinary effort, integrating research, translation, and applications to development. My research group focuses on on water resources with emphasis on: water quality; integrated hydrologic and water quality modeling; and, data-driven decision-making and management, with particular focus on finding solutions for data-scarce areas. We provide recommendations and guidance to watershed managers, policy makers, and other stakeholders to help better make and manage water resources decisions.

We owe it to ourselves and to the next generation to conserve the environment so that we can bequeath our children a sustainable world that benefits us all. Wangari Maathai. Nobel Prize Laureate, 2004
