Welcome to my website! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University (West Lafayette), where I directs the SMART Lab. My current research interests include multi-robot systems, sensor networks, human-robot interaction, robot design and control, with focus on applications in field robotics and assistive technology and robotics.

From 2014 to 2015, prior to my faculty position at Purdue University, I held a postdoctoral fellow position at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University. At CMU, I worked on the assistive robots for blind travelers project in the context of human-robot interaction, funded by the NSF/NRI.

I completed my Ph.D. in Technology with a specialization in Computer and Information Technology from Purdue University in May 2014. My Ph.D. dissertation was on Multi-robot Systems for Building End-to-End Wireless Communication. I obtained my M.S. degree in Electronics and Radio Engineering with a specialization in Automatic Control from Kyung Hee University in South Korea in 2010, and my B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from the same university in 2008.
