Petticrew debate team

Purdue’s Speech and Debate Team!

“To those about to debate, we salute you!”

What is the forensics team?

Petticrew Forensics Forum

The C. Richard Petticrew Forum was founded in 1990 at Purdue University to accomplish three main goals:

* To enhance the public speaking and debating abilities of Purdue University Students.
* To participate in intercollegiate speech and debate competitions.
* To sponsor events promoting the discussion of issues of interest to the Purdue University community.

Since its founding the student organization has organized a speech team, three major on-campus competitions each year, and competed in several debate competitions on the local and national levels.  We are one of the few academically competitive teams on campus.

Interested in joining? E-mail our coach Chris Roberts or the team captain, Josh Caplan.

This organization is part of the Purdue University Communications Department.  Students who enroll in forensics practicum may earn up to three hours of academic credit in the department of communication.
