Project Selection Process

Projects under the Purdue RoSeHUB site are proposed by faculty, in consultation with industry members, voted on the Industrial Advisory Board, and funded by the Executive Board of the member universities. This ensures strong collaboration and buy-in from both industry and the faculty researchers.

Each company designates a "RoSeHUB Liason" that acts as the primary point of contact between the center and the industry member. Likely project ideas are discussed with the liason prior to proposal generation. Based on input from all RoSeHUB Liasons, individual project proposals are generated by interested faculty. These are presented to corporate members at the Fall Meeting. During this meeting, all members (or their proxies) vote on projects of choice. The votes and feedback is considered by the RoSeHUB Executive Committee, along with budgetary information to work out a funding plan for the most popular projects.

The Purdue Site of RoSeHUB gives companies and government agencies direct access to Purdue Faculty and Purdue Students. RoSeHUB acts as a low-cost entry point to projects at the Purdue Robotics Accelerator.
