National Invasive Plants Distribution Map

County-level distributions of ~150 invasive plants in forest ecosystems across the United States. You can print a copy of the distribution map for all species or a particular species with different base-map. Note, this county-level plant invasion map is based on official USFS FIA data and does not include other data sources such as citizen science data. (Last upated April 2017)

National Invasive Pests Distribution Map

This county-level pest and pathogen invasion map is based on data from the USFS Alien Forest Pest Explore. You can print a copy of the distribution map for all species or a particular species with different base-map. (Last upated April 2017)

Historical Distribution of Invasive Plant Species

The following are some example videos of temporal progression of invasive plants spread across the U.S. The videos are based on data we collected from hundreds of herbaria on ~40 invasive plants. (Last upated April 2017)

Distribution of invasive Invasive Hedera helix (Common ivy) based on herbarium specimen from 1841-2012.

Distribution of invasive Elaeagnus angustofolia (Russian olive) based on herbarium specimen from 1841-2012.

Distribution of invasive Arundo donax (giant cane) based on herbarium specimen from 1923-2012.

Distribution of Invasive Ailanthus altissima (Tree of Heaven) based on herbarium specimen from 1841-2012.
