Dr. Umit Karabiyik

I am the Director or UMIT2 Lab and an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. I've received my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Florida State University in 2010 and 2015 respectively. I have research interests broadly in Digital and Cyber Forensics, Forensic Intelligence, User and Data Privacy, Artificial Intelligence (Applied to Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity), Computer and Network Security.


I am looking for graduate students (preferably doctoral students) to work in my digital forensics research lab. If you are interested pursuing graduate degree in Digital and Cyber Forensics, or perhaps you have an interesting project idea lie in the following areas contact me!
